Adjust, including Adjust GmbH and its affiliates (collectively, “Adjust” or “We”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Candidate Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you apply for a job and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information. 2. What data we collect about you
We collect the personal information that you provide to us, e.g. your name, contact information; personal information on your CV/resume or other materials you submit to us, such as your work examples, professional and educational background and interests, submissions or test results; your salary and job expectations, information about your work permit or visa status.
3. Why we process your data
We collect and process the personal data about you to process your application and assess your application against our open positions. Once we receive your personal data in connection with a specific vacancy, your data will be processed exclusively for purposes related to your interest in current or future employment with us and the processing of your application. In the phase of deciding whether to establish an employment relationship with you, we as your potential employer have an interest in ensuring that you have the necessary professional competence and personal suitability for the vacant position. Failure to provide us with your personal data will result in our inability to process your application.
We also carry out background checks as part of our employee onboarding process, including checking for any existing or potential conflicts of interest or any other restrictions which may otherwise restrict or prevent a candidate’s employment with us as well as to prevent crime, including fraud or criminal activity, misuses of our products or services as well as the security of our IT systems, architecture and networks.
4. Recipient of personal data
We use third-party service providers to process your personal data. We have selected them with due care to make sure that your data is properly stored and handled.
For application management, we use the services of Greenhouse Software Inc., 455 Broadway, New York NY, 10013, United States („Greenhouse"). For this purpose, your data is stored and processed by Greenhouse in the United States. You can access the Greenhouse privacy policy at https://www.greenhouse.io/privacy-policy. We guarantee the adequacy of the data transfer to the United States through EU standard contractual clauses, which you can access upon request.
For scheduling, we use the services of Etch Mobile Inc. dba GoodTime, 340 S Lemon Ave #4198, Walnut, CA 91789, United States („GoodTime"). For this purpose, your data is being stored and processed by GoodTime in the United States. You can access the GoodTime privacy policy at https://www.goodtime.io/privacy-policy. We guarantee the adequacy of the data transfer to the United States through EU standard contractual clauses, which you can access upon request.
We use the services of HireRight Ltd., a cloud services provider located at 15 Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf, London, E14 4HD, United Kingdom. HireRight helps manage background checks on our behalf. You can access the HireRight privacy policy at https://www.hireright.com/legal/emea-and-apac-candidate-policy HireRight may transfer your data to third countries outside the EU, for which we guarantee the adequacy of the data transfers through EU standard contractual clauses, which you may inspect upon request.
At Adjust, during the application process, access to your data will only be granted to that staff that make the concrete hiring decision or that are significantly involved in this decision. These staff members usually include the HR department and our leadership, and in some cases also team managers. We may also share your application with other Adjust affiliates or department heads with vacancies in other functional areas that fit your applicant profile. All employees entrusted with your data are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of your data.
Should other third parties (e.g. additional service providers or government entites) also be given access to your data, this will always take place on the basis of a confidentiality agreement and/or a data processing agreement or on the basis of our legal obligations.
5. Your freedom to provide data
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the provision of your data is not required or obligatory. However, if you do not provide us your personal data relevant to the application process, like data on your education or employment history, we may not be able to process your application or assess it properly.
6. How long we store your data
In case your application is successful, your data will be used further to complete the recruitment process. If we are unable to offer you employment, we will retain the information you provide to us for a maximum period of 6 months after any rejection to respond to questions relating to your application and our decision. This does not apply if legal provisions prevent the deletion of your data, if further storage is necessary as evidence or if you have expressly agreed to a longer storage of your data.
7. Why we may process your data
We process the personal data that you provide to us for the recruiting process, and to meet legal requirements under local anti-discrimination policies. With your consent, which you can freely refuse or withdraw at any time without any repercussions, we process your data to carry out background checks.
If we are unable to offer you employment, we store your application data if you have expressly agreed to this, at most until you withdraw your consent.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to assert the following rights against us:
· the right to demand information as to whether and, if so, to what extent personal data relating to you will be processed or not
· the right to demand that the data must be corrected
· the right to demand the deletion of your personal data
· the right to have the processing of personal data restricted
· the right to receive the personal data, which has been provided to us, in a structured, common and machine-readable format and to transfer this data to another third party
· the right to object to the processing of personal data
· the right to appeal to a supervisory authority
